When designing the happyhopper website, we tried to keep new rabbit owners in mind, and provide information that is clear and to the point.
Although we have looked after rabbits for many years, we started as most people do, buying a rabbit from a pet shop, with little knowledge on how to best look after them. Only now, through mistakes made (especially in the early years), information gathered from books, vets, rescue centres and the internet do we realise how little we knew.
The aim of this site is not to chastise or criticise, but to provide the new rabbit owner with information that we wish we knew when starting out. While researching for this site we noticed that many sites and books can contradict one another and so have tried to err on the side of caution, giving advice that is generally recognised.
